Role description

Role Overview

The Principal Architect for Autonomous Vehicles will have founding-team-level influence and own the overarching product and technical strategy for CoreWeave's autonomous vehicle offering. This hands-on technical leadership role spans the full stack, from bare-metal GPU/CPU topologies, networking and storage through workload orchestration to application-facing APIs and autonomous driving software ecosystems.

What You Will Do

The Principal Architect will define how fleet data, sensor simulation, synthetic data generation and closed-loop evaluation fit together into reproducible workflows, balancing simulation fidelity, throughput, reliability and cost. They will partner directly with automotive manufacturers, suppliers and autonomous vehicle developers to understand their requirements, identify capability gaps and translate platform capabilities into deployed solutions.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will love taking complex autonomy and AI infrastructure challenges from initial architectural design through to commercially successful deployment. They will be curious about how advances in simulation, synthetic data and AI models can accelerate the development and validation of autonomous vehicles.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of founding, leading or architecting autonomous vehicle platforms, simulation systems or AI infrastructure that reached production or commercial deployment.
  • Deep understanding of autonomous driving workflows, including perception, prediction and planning, and how data, model training, simulation and evaluation support their development.
  • Hands-on experience building distributed systems under demanding throughput, latency, reliability and scale requirements.
  • Experience designing GPU-based training or simulation platforms, with a strong understanding of compute, networking, storage and workload orchestration.
  • Familiarity with fleet data pipelines, sensor simulation, scenario generation and closed-loop testing, including reproducibility and coverage of rare or difficult driving conditions.
  • Ability to identify where existing architectures limit customer outcomes, define practical alternatives and build alignment across engineering, research and product teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect system architecture with product strategy and business development, working directly with technical leaders and enterprise customers.

Benefits

  • Family-level Medical Insurance
  • Family-level Dental Insurance
  • Generous Pension Contribution
  • Life Assurance at 4x Salary
  • Critical Illness Cover
  • Employee Assistance Programme
