FluidStack — Austin, Texas, United States · In-Person · Senior
Role description
Role Overview
The Commissioning Team is working on standing up the commissioning program for 50GW+ of capacity this decade, running commissioning and QA-QC for first-of-a-kind modular data centers, and automating Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning. The role requires owning the commissioning schedule and issues log for each site, surfacing failed tests, open punch items, and vendor readiness gaps early enough to protect energization and turnover dates.
What You Will Do
The role involves directing general contractors, designers, commissioning agents, and vendors through Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning of chilled water, HVAC, electrical, BMS, and EPMS systems, witnessing and verifying pre-functional and functional testing in the field, and troubleshooting startup and performance issues on mechanical plant, electrical distribution, and their controls.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has served as the Owner's commissioning lead on a hyperscale or mission critical data center build, holding general contractors, designers, commissioning agents, and vendors to the test plan and schedule, and has personally witnessed and signed off Level 1 to Level 5 testing on mechanical plant and electrical systems.
