Role Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for owning the month-end close, ensuring financial accuracy, and managing statutory and indirect tax compliance for assigned entities.
What You Will Do
Own and execute the month-end close, analyze variances, explain key movements, and monitor financial trends. Support complex and non-routine transactions, maintain statutory and tax compliance activities, and ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting, strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, and experience in multinational or multi-entity environments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting
- Experience in a Big Four firm is a plus
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
- Experience in multinational or multi-entity environments
- Familiarity with statutory and tax compliance processes
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Finnish is a plus
