Role Overview

Vultr is seeking a Provisioning Engineer to drive high-volume server activation and support the rapid expansion of Vultr's global cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a Linux-focused automation enthusiast with strong scripting fundamentals and a desire to learn.

What You Will Do

Execute end-to-end server onboarding, respond to capacity management, perform basic post-onboard validation, and build and improve automation scripts and provisioning pipelines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, deployment automation, or infrastructure operations
• Strong Bash scripting skills with experience building and maintaining automation scripts for repetitive tasks
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals — networking, storage, boot processes, and command-line tooling
• Comfortable working in high-volume deployment environments with remote hands support
• Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively during periods of rapid scaling and high throughput demands
• Willingness to learn and adapt to Vultr's specific provisioning workflows and tooling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
