Role Overview

Nscale is hiring a Senior Manager, Developer Platforms to build the function that owns how Nscale's engineers ship software. The role involves building the toolchain, CI/CD, code quality standards, AI coding tools, and metrics to track them. The Senior Manager will establish the tooling and governance model from scratch and build the business case to hire and lead a Developer Platforms team as the scope grows.

What You Will Do

Own the developer toolchain, set code review and testing standards, manage developer tooling vendors, lead adoption of AI coding agents, design and implement access and governance model for agentic coding tools, track software delivery and developer experience through metrics, and build the business case for a Developer Platforms team.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, infrastructure or developer-productivity engineering, including experience leading people. They should have owned CI/CD and source control for a sizable engineering organisation and remain hands-on, rolled out and governed AI coding tools, and built something from scratch without an existing team or playbook.
