Role Overview
As a Senior Staff Machine Identity and PKI Engineer, you'll set technical standards across SRE, platform, and product, owning decisions with long-term consequences.
What You Will Do
You'll build the non-human identity register, replace static credentials with short-lived workload identity, and own Nscale's PKI and certificate lifecycle management platform.

We're looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure security, or SRE, with deep work on workload identity, secrets, and PKI.
Requirements
- 10+ years in platform engineering, infrastructure security or SRE
- deep work on workload identity, secrets and PKI
- hands-on PKI expertise
- experience with HashiCorp Vault, cloud workload identity, OIDC federation, and Kubernetes service accounts
- ability to write code in Go or Python and work with Terraform
