Role description
Role Overview
Fluidstack is a company that aims to make humanity more free by building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. The Thermofluids R&D Team is working on designing and building machines that can reject 10s of GW of heat, and the Mechanical Engineer, Thermofluids will be responsible for defining what the machine has to be, designing heat exchangers, and running trades that decide the machine.
What You Will Do
The Mechanical Engineer, Thermofluids will be responsible for defining thermodynamic cycle models, designing heat exchangers, and running trades that decide the machine. They will also be responsible for taking the cycle predictions onto the test stand and reconciling them against measured COP.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Fluidstack is looking for exceptional people who care deeply about the problem space. The Mechanical Engineer, Thermofluids will be part of a team that is singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in thermofluids engineering
- Thermodynamic cycle modeling
- Heat exchanger design
- High-pressure fluid system design
- Comfortable with regular travel
