Role Overview
The CSA R&D team designs the template buildings, foundations, and modular structures that Fluidstack builds again and again for gigawatt-scale AI data centers. We engineer the design once, prove it, and hand delivery teams a package they can build without reinventing it.
What You Will Do
Own the structural calculations, produce detailed designs, make the design repeatable, integrate across disciplines, run structural support for the factory and the field, and hand off to delivery.

Requirements
- 7+ years of structural engineering on industrial, mission-critical, or data center buildings
- steel, concrete, and foundation design in your own hands
- perform your own calculations and produce your own detailed designs
- know the codes cold: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, and how to apply them across seismic, wind, and snow regions
- work in structural analysis and drafting tools daily (RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Revit, or equivalent)
- have designed pre-engineered metal buildings, equipment foundations, or modular and transported structures
- treat lifting and transport loads as first-class constraints
- work across disciplines instead of throwing problems over walls, and iterate fast without losing configuration control
