Role description

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Operations will sit at the intersection of business intelligence and finance. This role is roughly 70% BI and 30% finance. You will write SQL, design data models, and build reporting that finance leaders use every close and forecast cycle.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain finance data models that serve as a trusted source of truth for planning, forecasting, and reporting. Replace manual data loads and spreadsheet processes with repeatable, systematic pipelines.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. You have 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or financial analysis, including at least 3 years writing SQL in a production setting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or financial analysis
• 3 years writing SQL in a production setting
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning on large datasets
• Experience building dashboards and reports in a modern BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma
• Solid finance fundamentals, including the three financial statements, P&L structure, budgeting and forecasting cycles, budget-versus-actuals analysis, and month-end close
